Welcome To Leman Paint and Body

Here at Leman Paint Works, we take pride in our work, and we’ll always go the extra mile to get the job done right.

We center most of our work around semi-trucks, although we also work on implements, fertilizer equipment, firetrucks, and trailers. On the semis, we do collision work, corrosion protection (which involves sandblasting the rust off frames), and accessory installation. We are also a dealer for Minimizer fenders that our customers use to protect their equipment.

Whether it be repairing a semi after a collision, sandblasting a piece of corroded farm equipment, or giving your truck a completely new look—you can count on us to get the job done efficiently and effectively. We also work directly with insurance adjusters so you can get back on the road as quickly and smoothly as possible. If you have any questions about our services or would like a job estimate, give us a call at (815) 657-7590.

About the Owner

Kirk Leman here. As the owner of Leman Paint Works, I welcome you to our website and hope you find the right information for your specific job. Here’s a little history about me and my company…

I grew up here in Forrest, IL, and graduated from Prairie Central High School. In 2005 and 2006, I attended the Nashville Auto Diesel College in Tennessee as part of their Auto Body program to receive technical training. After completing the program, I worked for Piercy Auto Boy in Carlock, Illinois, and later worked for Peterbilt in Bloomington.

Company History

In 2009, I noticed many farmers were upgrading their tractors and grain trucks to semis and saw a need for a heavy-duty body shop. That’s when I decided to start Leman Paint Works. It has been
a great adventure and we’ve worked on just about every type of equipment out there. With a 40ft paint booth, state-of-the-art mixing room, and fully-enclosed blasting bay—we’re equipped to tackle just about any heavy-duty auto repair or repaint!

In 2012, we acquired my second company, Aftershock Decals & Design. At the time, we were working with a lot of trucking companies and often found ourselves removing decals and looking for replacements. Once we had the proper equipment, we started creating and printing our own decals in the upstairs of our shop. Since then, it’s grown into much more than just truck lettering! We’re now located at a much larger facility in Fairbury, where we do a variety of print and graphic design work, such as logo design, print design, banners, signs, vehicle wraps, fleet graphics, and more.

With the expertise of our two businesses, we can handle semi-truck bodywork from start to finish—the repair, the refinishing, and even the truck lettering!
